FAQs for the Exercise Science & Sport Studies Major

When do the new rules and regulations go into effect?

These rules apply to all students who declare the major during or after the Fall, 2009 semester.
 

What are the prerequisites for declaring the major?

To declare the major in either the Applied Kinesiology or Sport Management options, students must have a minimum of a 2.0 GPA overall and in a minimum of three courses required for the major.  To select either the Exercise Science Option or the Exercise Physiology Option, students with less than 90 credits must have a 2.85 GPA in a minimum of 12 credits in the 377 curriculum or the basic sciences in biology, chemistry and physics.  Students who have 90 credits or more must maintain a major GPA of 3.0 to remain in the Exercise Science and Exercise Physiology options.
